BERLIN, Augroulettegamblinggame. 8 (Xinhua) -- German industrial giant Siemens reported its third-quarter earnings for the April-June period on Thursday, highlighting increases in net income and revenueroulettegamblinggame. The growth was fueled by robust demand for electrification and a strong performance in its industrial software sector.

Siemens, which operates in a fiscal year from October to September, saw a 48-percent increase in net income for its fiscal third quarter (Q3), reaching 2.1 billion euros (2.29 billion U.S. dollars). This is up from 1.4 billion euros in the same period last year, the report said.

The company's profit margin rose to 16.5 percent, compared to 15.4 percent in Q3 of the previous year. Siemens also reported a 5-percent year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching 18.9 billion euros on a comparable basis, up from 18.1 billion euros in the same period last year.

Roland Busch, Siemens AG's president and chief executive officer, said the company achieved profitable growth in Q3, driven by strong demand for electrification. He also highlighted the significant contribution of the industrial software business, which secured several large license contracts.

According to the report, free cash flow at the Group level, including both continuing and discontinued operations, amounted to 2.1 billion euros, down from 3 billion euros in the same period last year.

Ralf P. Thomas, chief financial officer of Siemens AG, noted that the company once again generated strong free cash flow and will maintain its focus on cash as it aims for a robust fourth quarter.

For the full fiscal year, the group has confirmed its revenue growth outlook of 4 percent to 8 percent, excluding the effects of currency translation and portfolio changes. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollar)
